Thanks to your actions in the workplace, the tentative agreement for the 2025-2027 The University of Washington contract achieves several major goals identified as priorities by the membership:
- Despite incredibly challenging budget projections, the contract secures a general wage increase of 3% on July 1, 2025, and 2% on July 1, 2026
- Job Specific Retention and Recruitment salary increases between 2.7% and 20.2%
- Added more job classifications to the Trades License Premium (10%) pay and some additional licenses to qualify for the 10% additional premium
- A minimum of $4.00 per hour for Stand by pay and when called back to work, you will be paid 1.5x your regular hourly rate, for at least 3 hours of pay
- A minimum of $2.00 per hour for Weekend Differential
- Increased bonus pay to 3 hours when an individual is called back to work
- An additional $1.00 per hour to the Minimum Wage Rate for a total of $19.00 per hour
- An additional $50.00 per year for Safety Boot allowance, for a total of $200.00 each year of the Agreement for all Main Campus Facilities and we added Facilities Department staff at UW-Bothell, UW-Tacoma, UWMC and HMC
- (NEW) Added premium pay for Ambulatory Float Pool Pay of $1.50 per hour at UWMC-Montlake and HMC
- Protected and maintained the UW Medicine Pre-Scheduled Voluntary Double-Time Shift Incentive for Critical Staffing Needs
- Plus, many, many more economic and non-economic improvements! See the full tentative agreement for details.
Because of these achievements, your University of Washington Bargaining Team recommends that you vote YES to ACCEPT this Agreement!
We want to thank you all for your hard work, research, job actions, and solidarity. Your strength makes all the difference! If you have questions, please visit a voting assistance center, contact a bargaining team member, or contact your WFSE staff.
