EWU 2025-2027 Tentative Agreement Documents
EWU 2025-2027 Contract Highlights
- General Wage Increase of 3% for 2025 and 2% for 2026
- An increase in the EWU minimum wage from $18 per hour to $20 per hour
- Increases to vacation accrual rates
- Increases to the allowance for safety toe footwear; clarified the inclusion of dining employees in the shoe allowance
- Language strengthening our union’s ability to track the contracting out of our bargaining unit’s work
- Language expanding the scope of our grievance procedure to include the Workplace Behavior article
Message from EWU Bargaining Team
Negotiations with EWU concluded on September 6, 2024, for the 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The AFSCME Council 28/WFSE Eastern Washington University classified staff tentative agreement for the 2025-2027 contract achieves several major goals identified by the bargaining unit as priority items:
- A general wage increase of 3% in 2025, and 2% in 2026
- A two-dollar per hour increase to the minimum wage, from $18 to $20 per hour
- Increases to the allowance for safety toe footwear
- Increases to vacation accrual rates
- Clarified the inclusion of food service employees in the footwear allowance
- Added language making Article 46-Workplace Behavior subject to the grievance procedure
- Language strengthening our ability to track the contracting out of bargaining unit work
Because of these achievements, your Eastern Washington University Bargaining Team recommends that you vote YES to ACCEPT this Agreement.
