What we have been doing:
At our first bargaining date, your TESC Classified bargaining team...
- Has vetted all proposals put forward by our members. While most are being pursued, there are those that will be referred to our Legislative and Political Action department as a change in the law would be necessary. Some will be referred to our Council staff as it is a matter of contract compliance. A small number of proposals fell outside the scope of bargaining, and we are not able to pursue them at the table.
- Has exchanged proposals and counter-proposals with management, and reached tentative agreement on several non-economic articles. We continue to work on improving language to protect your rights and improve working conditions.
Let’s talk about compensation
First off, we’d like to thank our members for submitting so many contract proposals related to compensation!
At the bargaining table and across campus, our members are demanding pay that reflects the importance of what we do for our students and community. We are working on a variety of compensation concepts and are waiting for the Revenue Forecast before putting proposals across the table sometime in July.
We are here fighting for you! Please be sure to support your Bargaining Team as we work on a strong contract. You can start by taking our survey by July 5th, 2024. This will help us to focus our efforts on what is most important to you!
In solidarity,
Your TESC Bargaining Team
*Our Team also includes Kat Killen and Eric Lakewold (not pictured).
We will be returning to the table on June 26th and 27th!
