During the COVID-19 pandemic, rates of domestic violence have increased. Tragically, we have lost more than one union sibling to domestic violence this year. But we are not powerless.
Domestic violence is 100% preventable, and we are honored to support our allies from the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence with the 2021 Refuse To Abuse 5K on July 17, 2021, in taking action to prevent it.
You can also encourage your local to join other WFSE locals in sponsoring spots for the 5K.
This community education event has both virtual and in-person, socially-distanced offerings. Register now and join 40+ WFSE union siblings—you can add "WFSE" to the end of your name when you register so folks know you are with our union.
