What We’re Looking For:
The Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) is recruiting to fill an Associate position located at the WFSE Headquarters building in Olympia. Reporting to the HQ Office Manager, the primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Reception phone coverage.
- Mail processing
Accuracy and efficiency are key components for the successful completion of the primary duties of this position. This position also helps with administrative tasks such as:
- Member card processing.
- Generation and distribution of new employee and member letters.
- Correspondence with employers regarding membership processing.
- Scanning, faxing, filing, and copying
- Supply ordering.
- Assists in data entry projects
- Other daily operational needs of WFSE.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year of reception phone work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to handle difficult customers and find resources to answer questions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Special Note:
WFSE is requiring that all employees be vaccinated against COVID-19. As such, candidates who are offered a position will be required to submit proof of vaccination to the Human Resources Office prior to the start of employment. While some of the work will be virtual, there may be in-person meetings at various times and candidates should reside within commuting distance to the WFSE Headquarters building during work time. This position is overtime eligible and may be required to work some weekends. Some travel may be required. Benefits include annual and sick leave, medical/dental, life, and long term disability insurance, and 12 paid holidays. Salary range is $43,904 to $53,661 and will be determined commensurate with experience.
