ABHS Bargaining Update #3

We have a Tentative Agreement! On May 19th, your ABHS bargaining team met with management for our second bargaining session for our 2026 Compensation Re-opener. Present were WFSE members on your bargaining team and ABHS management.

What did we win?

1.     We won a salary step table. This is the gold standard across union contracts in all industries. Everyone will reach the top step of the salary table in their job class after six years of continuous service in that job class.

2.     Minimum top step wage of $24.25. Every job class will be paid a minimum of $24.25 after 6 years of service in that job class.

3.     Top step increase for all other job classes will be based on the top paid employee in that job class plus 1% at after six years of continuous service in that job class.

4.     We won increases to longevity pay bonuses.

a.     2-year anniversary will increase to $300

b.     3–5 year anniversary will increase to $500

What’s Next?

Bargaining is complete! Next up - your turn to vote! As a union member, it is your right to vote whether or not to ratify/support the passing of our Tentative Agreement. Given the accomplishments listed above, our WFSE Bargaining Team strongly supports a YES vote! Please be on the lookout at the beginning of June for a code that will come to your email with instructions on how to vote on our Tentative Agreement. Our ideas and proposals we make at the bargaining table come from WFSE members like you. We go back to the bargaining table around March 2027 to bargain our entire CBA. Please submit any ideas you have or changes you would like to see here!

Attend your Local Union Meetings!
