ABHS Bargaining Update #1

On April 28th, we met with ABHS management to bargain employee health benefits.

First and foremost, your team emphasized our goal of improving benefits for the hard-working employees of ABHS! And that goal was achieved:

• Increased employer contribution levels toward all health plans.
• The Employer will pay a larger percentage contribution towards the Kaiser Permanente PPO.
• Maintained dental, vision, flexible spending account options for health and dependent care, and access to educational resources during open enrollment.

What’s Next?

We will be returning to the bargaining table on May 14th, where we will begin our “Re-opener” negotiations over Article 29, Compensation.

We Need You!

Please wear WFSE green on all casual days in your facility and talk to a steward or bargaining team member to learn more. Please also continue to submit proposals for our 2027-2029 contract here! Those negotiations will begin around April 2027.

Attend your Local Union Meetings!

Every second Monday at 6pm, your WFSE Local, 2824, meets to discuss issues affecting ABHS members and their workplaces. If you are able, please attend the next Local meeting on May 11th at 6pm. Here is the Zoom link to attend!
