We Came Ready to Bargain - Management Didn’t

We're still fighting for you, but the line is getting redrawn every time we meet. We need to keep pushing back to make sure that line doesn’t falter. 

Bargaining Update

On August 3, your bargaining team met with OFM and management to continue negotiations.

We came prepared to bargain. We presented our compensation proposal, informed by the priorities and feedback you shared with us through our member survey.

We did the work to make sure that what we brought to the table reflected what members told us matters most.

We Put Our Proposals on the Table

Compensation is a critical part of this round of bargaining. We know that wages affect recruitment, retention, and whether ALJs can afford to continue doing the work they do for our communities.

Our proposal reflects the priorities you identified and the information you gave us. We came to the table ready to have a substantive conversation about compensation and the other issues that matter to our members.

OFM and management, however, did not return a single article.

Almost Everything Is Now in Their Court

At this point in bargaining, nearly all of our proposals are sitting with OFM and management.

We have made our proposals. We have explained our priorities. We have incorporated the feedback you provided through the bargaining survey and conversations directly with your bargaining team members. Now OFM and management need to do their part.

Bargaining only works when both sides are willing to put proposals on the table, respond to the other side, and work toward an agreement.

We are ready to keep doing that.

The question is whether OFM and management are ready to bargain.
