Previous Cycle Bargaining: 2023-2025 Contract
Congratulations! Your WWU 2023-2025 contract has been ratified by members and funded by the legislature.
Highlights from this historic contract include:
7% in cost of living adjustment (COLA) increases over the course of the two-year agreement: 4% July 1, 2023 and 3% July 1, 2024
- 2% regional pay to begin in 2023 (including the COLA, the total minimum pay increase for 2023 is 6%)
- Increase in minimum wage to $18/hour
- Up to 4 Additional vacation days per year for those in their first 15 years of employment
- One additional paid holiday for all bargaining unit members
- Free bus passes for all bargaining unit members
- Movement from Step L to M after one year at Step L rather than the 6 years at Step L previously required
- Shift premium increased to 1.50 per hour
- Significant increases in clothing and tools allowances
- Significant improvements to working conditions including, but not limited to employer provided secure storage, improvements to the evaluation and position description process and improved access to employee lounge facilities
- Expanded Shared Leave availability
