Have a Voice in the New System
Even as the new system goes live, Interpreters United (WFSE) will continue our fight for good pay and working conditions and fair access to appointments.
By filling out a union card, you can have a voice in how this system works.
Without a union, we will have no say over how interpretingWorks is implemented.
With a union, we can negotiate legally binding changes to interpretingWorks’ scheduling system and make sure it works best for us as L&I interpreters.

By organizing for power with Interpreters United (WFSE), L&I interpreters will have the opportunity to negotiate for:
- State-funded health insurance
- Hourly minimum per appointment
- Reimbursement for no-shows and late cancellations
- Protections against Claw Backs
- A voice in our profession
We deserve to have a powerful voice over the critical issues that impact all of us.
