On July 12th our bargaining team had its first meeting with the University.
This first session focused primarily on introductions, discussions of bargaining ground rules, and sharing some general principles about our members’ priorities for this contract. We left this session with a good impression of the tone of the discussions and optimistic about our prospects for reaching a strong agreement. Each side introduced a few proposals but no tentative agreements were reached.
We are working diligently to craft our next package of proposals prior to our next bargaining session on August 2nd.
