SHARED LEAVE (SHB 1434)

Expand the shared leave program to include pregnancy-related disability or illness, or for parental leave to bond with a new child. This is a small item, but it will help make our state a little more family-friendly. The idea came from our bargaining tables in 2016; but it requires this change in law.  SHB 1434 passed the House 68-30 in 2017.
