Paula Lukaszek

University of Washington, Plumber / Pipe Steamfitter Lead

Paula Lukaszek (she/her) has been a plumber at UW Seattle Campus since 2003. She immediately became a steward and activist in our local and has been President of 1495 for four terms. She is also on the bargaining team, actively working to represent all job classes, especially those to which management doesn't want to give recruitment / retention money.

As a steward she represents members at Fact Finding meetings and files grievances for them, especially for contracting out without proper procedure or notification. As President, Paula works tirelessly to increase our local’s paying membership, which translates to power in contract negotiations. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time and traveling with friends and family.
