We're entering the final weeks of contract negotiations when real raises will be won or lost.
This is it — the most critical period in negotiations focused on pay raises for our next union contract. Now is the time to keep sending those emails and making calls to the Governor.
Members are focused on fair pay.
In Seattle this week, members delivered over 2000 petitions the Governor's representative asking for fair and equitable compensation to survive in the high cost areas we serve:
We demand fair contracts that end the growning trend of public servants being driven out of public service by non-competitive pay. Our communities deserve excellent services with a stable workforce. We have answered the call to public service and take great pride in our work. We need fair and equitable compensation to survive in the high cost areas we serve.
In Olympia, members met with the Governor's staff to share over 5000 signed petitions focused on a range of fair pay issues.
State employees still haven't recovered from the great recession and we need to raise state employees up. During these contract negotiations, we need fair pay over and above the rising costs of healthcare, housing, childcare and transportation.
Here's what you can do:
We need members to TAKE ACTION making calls and sending emails to the Governor's office.
We need to maintain a constant flow of requests for #FairPay to the Governor. SEND EMAIL and call 360-902-4111.
Customize your message to explain to the Governor why #FairPay above the rising cost of healthcare, housing, childcare and transportation are important to you, your family and your community.
It's time to close the gap.
