Our LAP elected bargaining team has been meeting with the state since May.
In our meeting with the state last week, the LAP bargaining teams presented our compensation proposals. We are proposing raises that will address widespread issues LAPs face including dealing with higher costs of living, having a consistent payment schedule, and receiving compensation for late cancelations/no shows and appointments ending early. Additionally, our team presented proposals to improve the economic process by increase transparency and accountability.
We will be meeting with state again on July 30th where we anticipate a response from the state to our proposals.
Their compensation proposal will be a value statement about what they think you are worth. In negotiations with the state, our bargaining teams are only as strong as the membership.
Let the state know what you think and support your bargaining team by taking the following action:
Text UNITED to 237-263 to receive a link to be connected with the Governor’s office.
