ABHS Bargaining Update 7/31/18

 So what is happening with your raises? 

Your bargaining team met with ABHS management again on June 25 and July 31, 2018. Proposals and ideas were exchanged and a lot of very good discussion was had but we have still not reached a final, signed agreement for you to vote on. Everyone is working hard to ensure the best possible outcome for this round of bargaining!

When is the next bargaining session? 

Our Union is expecting to hear a response from the management team on August 9, 2018. More to come! 

What happens now that we’ve passed March 31st? 

Many of you are probably wondering of anything changed after the current contract term ended without negotiations being complete for your next contract. Not to fear! Article 33.2 of your contract, “Term of Agreement”, states in part: 

“If this Agreement expires while negotiations between the Union and the Employer are underway for a successor Agreement, the terms and conditions of this Agreement will remain in full force and effect for a period not to exceed one (1) year from the expiration date.” 

This means that all of the hard won terms of your contract remain in effect while you continue to fight for a strong successor Agreement. 

Any other news? 

Yes! We reached agreement on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for ABHS to implement their Employee Referral Incentive Program. .
