SHARED LEAVE (SB 5295)

Expand the shared leave program to include pregnancy-related disability or illness, or for parental leave to bond with a new child.  This is a small item, but it will help make our state a little more family-friendly.

SUPPORT URGES FOR SHARED LEAVE BILL

1/17/18 The Federation’s Dennis Eagle urged continued support for our latest shared leave bill, SB 5295, to expand the shared leave program for pregnancy or parental bonding. It came before the Senate State Government Committee today (Jan. 17).

1/12/18  Our priority bill to expand shared leave, SB 5295, comes before the Senate State Government Committee. SB 5295 would add the use of shared leave for employees who are sick or temporarily disabled because of pregnancy disability or for the purposes of parental leave to bond with the employee’s newborn, adoptive or foster child.
