September 16, 2021Your bargaining team has reached tentative agreement (TA) on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding the vaccine mandate. --Review MOU TAReview Final AGO Vaccination PolicyJump to Voting Instructions--The MOU, which is an addition to the negotiated vaccine mandate policy, provides for one additional leave day, which would be credited in employees' leave accounts by December 31, 2021, and must be used in the 2022 calendar year.   The MOU also allows employees who have submitted their retirement paperwork to the Department of Retirement Systems by October 18, 2021, to use accrued leave or leave without pay until their retirement date.  The retirement date provision expires December 31, 2021.   Because this MOU involves fiscal considerations, ratification by membership is required. Your bargaining team also bargained the terms of the AGO vaccination mandate policy, which is attached along with the MOU. These terms have been agreed to between your bargaining team and management and are not subject to the ratification. -The ratification vote is only on whether to accept the MOU, which includes the extra leave day and the retirement option.  A yes vote is a vote to ratify the MOU. -
