Appendix S Range Increases: An Immediate Raise

Appendix S increases in our new contract go into effect immediately and should be seen on your July 25 paycheck.

Appendix S salary range increases are step-to-step, meaning if you have a 4-range increase and you are currently at Step D, you would move to Step D in your new salary range.

You should have received your new range via email or text. If not, find your job class Appendix S, H or T in our contract.

Appendix S Pay Raise Example

appendix s

The employee in the example above was at Step H in Range 46 of the salary schedule and got a 2-range increase via Appendix S.

They move straight down, step-to-step, to step H of Range 48. That pay increase is immediate and will show up on their July 25 paycheck.

To check your exact pay figures, check out the salary schedule.

Appendix H or T Range Increases: Builds Earning Power Over Time

Your wage increase found in Appendix H and T go into effect over time and are especially beneficial if you are maxed out or near maxed out in your current salary range.

Here’s how it works.

See your new salary range below. You will move to the step in your new salary range that is equivalent to your current salary.

You then advance through your new, higher salary range two-steps (5%) each year on your periodic increment date (PID).

Your first 5% increase will come on your PID in 2025. Remember, this is separate from the general wage increase of 3% in July 2025 and 2% of 2026.

appendix ht

Here's an example:

In the example above, the employee has a 3-range increase. They move to the step that represents their current salary, and then over the next several years will progress through the salary series with annual increases of 5%.

Their increase over the next 3 years would be 15%, whereas in their previous salary range they would have topped out after only 10%. (You spend 6 years at L before advancing to M).

Your future earnings are greater the more ranges you increase.
